Re: [adrenal_hyperplasia] Digest Number 14

Angela, who is 6, also gets her meds every 8 hrs. (the cortef). Since she
is older now, she has it in pill form. But when she was younger, she had
the liquid cortef too. We've had the same schedule for 6 years now. She
gets her meds at 5a.m., 1p.m. and 9 p.m. We too have to waker her up. But
she is so use to be awaken, she falls back asleep. When she was a baby, I
would just put the syringe in her mouth and she would just swallow the
liquid cortef and barely wake-up.

Giving your baby the meds every 8 hrs. is important because it keeps her
body working properly and keeps her on the right growth chart. It is very
important to have a schedule and stick to it.

Debbie
