My little, 8 mo. old baby girl has just been diagnosed with CAH--
after several months of saying to the doctors "something is not
right" and the majority of them only giving her tests to make her
mommy happy that something was being done. The search began because
she was projectile vomiting a lot and it was scary, not to mention
that her genitilia seemed unusual (we were told it was swollen from
her nursing). We began the medications with her a few days ago, and
she has been vomiting even more--is this a common reaction to the
hydrocortisone until the body adjusts? That is my assumption, but I
plan to call her doctor on Monday morning. At least we are lucky we
are getting the meds in at all, since she usually holds in the second
dose.
We have been dilegently researching this in hopes of becoming
educated parents for her, so we can help and teach her. :) Hoping
that this list will be another resource for us as well. I have been
dilegently searching for any kind of support group.
