Your feelings are similar to mine. I have a 6-1/2 yr. old girl, Angela, who
was borne with CAH. Angela is doing great too! However, I never had
anymore children because of just exactly what you said in your e-mail to
Roberta. Angela also had to endure 2 operations to correct her vaginal
area. She had one surgery at 3 mos. and another around 15 mos. She is a
beautiful, intellegent and lovable child and has done very well on her meds.
But, I too, am reminded every 6 mos. of how lucky I am to have such a
healthy child and I did not, and still do not want to chance having another
CAH baby. Angela gets very upset whenever we have her check up and they
have to draw her blood. There are many times I feel very badly about not
giving Angela a brother or sister, however, I think she is okay with being
an only child.

It was nice to hear someone feels the way I do. I have a couple of friends
I keep in touch with through the internet and they too all have had other
children.
