I thought I would share this though it is very much off the the topic of our
discussions.
I have been getting lots of e-mails from "Bank of America". First off I don
t belong to that bank. Secondly they say to update my information by
clicking here. I broke down and clicked there. It was an application to
set up something. They wanted my credit card number and my photo ID number.
After seeing this, I closed the web site down. There was no way to email
them back to say what on earth is going on. There was no phone number as
well. However the web site look so legit.
If you get this e-mail please trash it even if you have "Bank of America" as
your bank.
Also, I think e-bay is trying to do the same. However they did have my old
credit card information, they just wanted me to update for the yearly thing.
However, another friend said he got the same thing, but he don't belong to
e-bay. So that's now 2 web sites fishing for information. Please be very
careful. I will keep an eye on the e-mails and maybe I can contact my local
authorities if it keeps up. Thanks for reading this and if you wish, pass
it on to friends/family that may become a victim. Talk to you guys/dolls
later.
