Contacts for Enlarged Pupil?   Message List

RE: [adie_syndrome] Contacts for Enlarged Pupil?

Hi,

I have tried all kinds of contact lens' ranging from specialist ones to ordinary tinted ones. I found the specialist hard lens with a fixed pupil to match the other eye ok but it was almost impossible to match the colour of my eyes so I stuck with dark brown tints, the pupil shows through but it does not let as much light in and this suits me. My natural eye colour is pale grey so I have one brown lens that the tint is across the whole lens and the other brown with a clear pupil with a 3mm diameter. Hope this helps?

Subject: [adie_syndrome] Contacts for Enlarged Pupil?

Since we see cosmetic contact lenses in a variety of different designs,
do contacts exist for an enlarged pupil that makes the eye appear to
match the other pupil?  If anyone has heard of this, I would like to
know.  Doesn't this seem to be a good idea?

My eye doctor suggested regular contacts which I tried.  A regular
contact is not dark enough; the enlarged pupil shows through.  I would
appreciate any comments in this regard.  Thank you.
