Hi Trish;

Thanks for taking the time to email me. I guess this must be some sort of support group.  I received a few emails from other sufferers.  I am so totally technologically impaired with computers that basically I can only open emails.  I got someone to research & find me some info. on here & he must of put me in touch with some sort of support group. I'm new at this Adie's thing too. I actually thought I was going blind all of a sudden.  I take pilocarpine to reduce the pupil & prevent the migraines but it also distorts my vision.  I work with small instruments & it's at the level where my vision is impaired.  The florecent lights bug me and I can't work with dark glasses inside. A patch would only force my other eye to work harder & put alot of strain on it.  Everyone that I have heard from up to you has had it in both eyes so I question that this disease is not progressive.  I will start on vitamin B complex as it 's suppose to be good for neurological problems, guess it can't hurt.  In the meantime I'm just coping as best as I can.  Please let me know if any discoveries or any new info. on the disease comes up.  Thanks again for writing.
Mimi

I'm constantly surprised by how my Adie's eye seems to freeze up in a blurred position. I'll go along fine not thinking a lot about it and then it will just stop focusing, especially when I'm reading. I was diagnosed in January and am still adapting to it. I did go to get new glasses. My doctor had recommened I wait a few months after diagnosis to see if my eye improved. Strangely, both eyes were quite a bit worse than when I had last gotten new glasses in December (pre-Adies). Does anyone know if it will progressively get blurrier, or should this now be the extent of it?
