Hi Jody
Thanks for witing, I'm pretty new at this. Out of the few people that have emailed me, only one hasn't had it affect both eyes & she is a new sufferer. I read that this is not a progressive disease but I'm hearing otherwise from other sufferers. Besides pilocarpine drops, which I take to prevent the migraines I have heard of nothing that may help. I know vitamin B complex helps with neurological problems so I think I'll give that a try, can't hurt. I have read that 30% will have a tendency to affect both eyes. I have trouble working at my job which is close up work with small instruments under strong lighting. I wonder if anyone has tried to get compensation for this disease. Not many people have heard about it here. Again thanks for emailing me. If anything new about this syndrome comes up Please let me know.
Thanks
Mimi

I'm constantly surprised by how my Adie's eye seems to freeze up in a blurred position. I'll go along fine not thinking a lot about it and then it will just stop focusing, especially when I'm reading. I was diagnosed in January and am still adapting to it. I did go to get new glasses. My doctor had recommened I wait a few months after diagnosis to see if my eye improved. Strangely, both eyes were quite a bit worse than when I had last gotten new glasses in December (pre-Adies). Does anyone know if it will progressively get blurrier, or should this now be the extent of it?
