My boy's didn't get on there hands and knees to crawl until they were well past 11 months. My youngest didn't walk until he was 15 month's and they are both fine healthy young men. My oldest is almost 23 and my youngest is 15. I would not worry to much because I'm sure he will catch up. Good Luck.
Trish.

Hello friends,I noticed my son Joey's tonic pupil when he was about four months old. I pointed it out to the pediatrician, whom told me it was probably just a "Holmes pupil" and nothing to worry about. He may have had the tonic pupil before, but I think I would have noticed it. It also may or may not be related, but he had a viral illness a couple of weeks before.Since then Joey's been rather slow to develop gross motor skills. He could not sit up steadily without support until after 8 months of age, and though he practiced doggedly and demonstrated a lot of strength with getting up on his hands and feet, did not crawl until 11 months. He's 15 months now and can pull to standing, cruise and walk a little with help, but is very wobbly and seems quite a long way from standing and walking unassisted.I looked at some information on the web about Holmes Adie syndrome etc., but there is not much about possible manifestation in infants and what the effects may be on motor development. The pediatrician checked Joey's knee-jerk and Babinski reflexes and said they were fine, but I am not so sure. Joey is partway through a casual developmental assessment at his child care program. If he sees a specialist I would like more information so I can discuss this in a more informed way. A neurologist will see this coming, but perhaps not an occupational therapist. Thanks for your help.Margo Bond
