Hi,
Welcome to the group. Things are sure lively now!
Since no one is sure what causes Adie's, we can't rule out the shingles
theory.
However, since shingles is fairly common, you would think more people would
be turning up with Adie's.
I had chicken pox when young, never shingles. I'm one of those healthy
as a horse type people EXCEPT for a couple of exceptional things that have
happened to me.
I have two children who are RH positive. Big deal u say. However I'm RH
negative. Even though I received Rhogam shots to prevent RH Disease, my
second child was attacked by my super immune system that already produced
anitbodies regardless of the shots I received.Everything turned out OK after
11 amniocentesis tests, one in utero transfusion, and one post delivery
transfusion.
In 1987, we survived a car accident, I had closed head trama and can't
remenber most of it. Then in 1992, I woke up, looked in the mirror and
ta-dah one pupil was larger than the other. They do not think the accident
was a cause due to the time gap.
