Hi Carmen, My name is Gary. My Advice! Stop fighting it. When I was first diagnosed I had crazy vision problems. I'm a musician and the stage lights reaped havoc on my eyes. I would see two microphones and color trails. Things were pretty weird for a little while. This is a self diagnosis, but, I feel that I discovered that squinting, and trying to adjust was my biggest problem. I finally gave in and said, "I've got it, no one really knows how to fix it, and it don't appear that it's going to leave anytime soon." At that point, I bought myself a good pair of sunglasses for outdoor use and rolled on. As for feeling like a lab rat, I can definitely relate to that. Fortunately, my first doctor was excellent. He sent me in for many test and then covered his home work with me. He wasn't lazy. He read a lot about it and apparently covered his based well. Since, my experience is that in my travels, when I change doctors, they all want to do it all again. I did get a second opinion after the initial doctors visit and he found same. Much to my good fortune I was also given a letter that explains all of my test and the results. Beleive me, even with good insurance, you can sink a pretty penny into this to solve some doctor curiousity that is naturally inherent in all of them. This web sight has been great for sharing experiences with others although some have very different symptoms than myself. I was diagnosed at 43 and am now 49. I understand that it is only natural that my eye sight would deminish with age, but it does appear that my effected eye has gone much faster than the other. My vision in that eye is very blurry. Some days are better than others. I have experienced strange muscle twitching in my legs and arms, mostly while I sleep. Other than that, I appear to be a normal healthy man. And, by the way, YES, I did also have a sleep study done which was quite costly only to discover that my sleep problem is very moderate. Diagnosis, restless leg. This doesn't explain my arms. I hope that you find peace with this and maybe in time someone will learn some things that will help.

-Hi, my name is Carmen .I´m fourty. I´m from Spain and was said my
troouble was Adie just three months ago. It seems that everything is
right inside me , apart from the pupil. Ifelt lost for that time ,
till I found this group. Do you know how long does it take to get
used to lights? What about proper sight(withot unstability and twin
images? Docs seemed very interested on my trouble till they decided it
was Adie; then they just started to say "you have to be patient". I´m
a teacher and couldn´t even read or watch TV till six days ago; in
fact it was my husband who found this site. I need any information
about Adie and the evolution of it, if there is any.
thanks a lot for your time. I´s being something very helpful to know
that I´m not a lab thing to be studied.
