I've had it for about 5 years. I read that sometimes it spreads to the other eye, but my opthalmalogist said that it's highly unlikely at my age, which is 60. That sometimes happens to women in their 30's.
I use pilocarpine eyedrops every day so that my eye is not overly sensitive to light. If I forget, ouch! Strong sunlight can be very painful. Keep spare sunglasses in your car, etc., and carry a sunhat too.
Also, I have the lack of reflexes in one leg that is often part of Adie's syndrome and sometimes that ankle goes weak all of a sudden. Otherwise Adie's is not much of a problem for me.
