I have Aides Tonic Pupil in both eyes. My left one was affected 3
years ago and my right eye became affected in February of this year.
Since waking up that morning, I have had a continuous migrane
headache. My vision is disrupted meaning I see a constant shadow
around objects and it is hard to focus. I am sensitive to bright
sunlight but otherwise lighting does not seem to affect me.
I have tried 31 prescribed medications since February but nothing
seems to break the headache.
I have just returned from my second trip to Mayo clinic. (This is
where I was finally diagnosed with Aides) They have told me that the
migrane is not associated with Aide's Syndrome. Yet they cannot
explain why the pupil fixation and the headache started on the same
morning. They have told me that they do not know what else to do to
relieve the headache and they cannot tell me when it will go away or
what is medically causing it. Their statement to me was it could go
away in one day, one week, two years, or maybe never. They have no
answers. This is the answer that I am so graciously accept from
world renown doctors? I am having just a little bit of trouble
stomaching their answer.
My sister found your site for me today as she realized how desperate
I have become to try to get answers about this syndrome and the
possible migrane relation. I was reviewing past blogs and some of
you have mentioned headaches so I am hoping that you can give me
more details about the degree of your headache and the length that
you have experienced it.
It is so troubling that more is not known about this disease and
doctors are so quick to say what is and is not related without doing
more research regarding the disease itself.
I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide for me.
Thanks!
