Hi Ally.
I sometimes use pilocarpine 0.25%. I have the opposite problem though really - after a few months of not using it my eye really starts to ache and then I use it a couple of times as a "rest" for my eye and that brigs some relief. It is an odd sensation though - as you say your pupil shrinks to the size of a pin. I don't think I could function using it every day.

in my right eye. It's really nice to read messages from people
experiencing the same problems/discomforts. I have a question about
pilocarpine. My neuro-opthalmologist prescribed 0.25% pilocarpine
which I used yesterday. I was in a lot of pain; it felt like my
eyeball was going to pop out of my head! This and my vision was
blurry, I got a migraine and my pupil shrunk to the size of a pin.
Has anyone else experienced this? The pharmacist said that it was
strange because of the very low dosage. Does anyone use a lower dose
than this?
Any comments or responses would be very much appreciated.
