Hi!
My name's Louisa and I'm from England.

I've been recently diagnosed with Adie Syndrome. I was rushed to
hospital quite quickly when the Doc noticed my extremely dilated
right pupil. I was taken to see the neurologist who discovered I had
no reflexes in either of my ankles and then I was diagnosed with the
syndrome.

Although he was quick to diagnose this he wasn't able to offer any
help because this disorder is not well known. I have been looking on
the net for a few weeks now and you are the only people I have spoken
to who understand the dilemas! There is not one single support group
I can find in the U.K! Maybe I should start one up!

I have bad eyesight in both eyes, but I have found the 'bad' eye has
completely deteriorated and is much worse. I cannot see much out of
it at night also. Does anyone else have this problem, and is there
anything which makes this easier to cope with?

Also I have a bad back, I wonder if this has anything to do with lack
of reflexes in both ankles?

Well, I hope to hear from somebody soon. It's such a nice feeling I
can talk to someone who knows what I mean!!!

Thanks.
Louisa.
