Re: New Adie Group Member

A neurologist told me I have fibromyalgia... but I think it just means I have a lot of tender spots.

I have to follow a yeast-syndrome diet too, but I didn't know it could effect my vision. I've been on it for a decade or more.  I don't handle sugar well... oh yes! Too much sugar gives me vision migraines, you know, with flashing lights.  Very interesting.

Good luck with your research. Have you tried http://scholar.google.com?

I have adie's for about 8 years in my left pupil.  I
have found that eating a high protein, low carb diet
improves my vision considerably.  I heard someone say
along time ago if your disease is named after someone
think yeast.  Since doctors have no clue as to what
causes it or how to get rid of it and since it's named
after "someone" I treat mine like I have a yeast
infection.  I starve the yeast by eating protien and
very little carbs.  When I abide by this diet my
vision improves considerably.  I have no problem with
shadows except when I look at the moon at night and
even then my vision is so close to normal I just
praise God.  I have also been trying to do research on
the role of hyalournic acid and the eye.  Do any
Adies' sufferers have mitral valve prolaspe or suffer
from fibromyalgia, or TMJ?  Isn't it mind boggling
that to be in the 21st century some people have to
search out their own treatments for ailments that
modern medicine should have the cure.
