Hello everyone, I am a little confused...
1. I understand the sensitivity to light--I got prescription
sunglasses AND quit working in the bar
2. Night vision loss--that's easy, my husband does all the night
driving, I just drive in town
3. Headaches--a couple of Advil generally helps....
But I have never had the loss of shadows? What exciting occurance
should I be waiting for?
I have found that by about 4pm my eyes are toast. too tired to work
on the computer anymore. Also when I am just plain tired I will have
a VERY hard time in focusing on the guide on the TV. That's about the
time I turn the TV off.
Any close up things I have adapted--eyebrows used to take me hours,
just couldn't see them half the time. I stopped being a chicken and
now get them waxed. I don't wear makeup or contacts
If someone wants me to read something I take it from them and hold it
to where MY eyes are working at the particular moment in time. It
varies depending on how tired I am.
I also invested in a medicalert braclet, just in case. I think that
is how I got mine--major car accident. I put my head between the
steering wheel and the door, breaking the dash.
I don't go outside without my sunglasses, just helps awhole lot. I
keep a flashlight in the truck for when I go to friends houses and
need to see when I head back to the truck, or my son holds my hand.
Oh and I was diagnosed about 3-4 years ago and am a special one with
Adies in both eyes.
anyway, sorry to ramble, could you let me know about this loss of
shadows thing, please?
many thanks
anne
