My son has ADHD and autism. We have been on tennex for a little over a year
now. He is 6yo and 47 lbs. He was doing well for a while on the tennex and
then it lost it's magic. We increased from 1.5mg to 2mg over Thanksgiving.
Things were still not going well, so we tried upping again to 2.5mg in Jan. We
are still not getting the focus we were getting previously and much more
negation to everything.
Our Dr. wants us to try switching to Clonidine now. From reading the archives,
it looks like most people use the clonidine for sleeping issues not really for
focus. We have never had a problem with sleep. Even before the tennex he
gets/got 10-11 hours of sleep each night, so that's not a problem for us.
Just wondering if anyone has seen clonidine work for improving focus and/or
reducing impulse behaviors. Those are the issues we saw initial improvement
with the tennex, but as I mentioned, it lost it's magic.
Thanks!
Pam
