I am a new member, my almost 7 yr old son was just put on medication 2 months
ago. We just doubled the dose this week. I just have some general questions.

1-Is it wise to see a therapist to learn how to adapt to a child with ADHD?
Some days I just don't know, what to say or do. I understand they like routine
but what other things might make life a bit easier? Would a therapist help with
this?

2-Do a lot of ADHD kids pitch a fit when they have to leave the house? We were
going to a baseball game. It will be a fun and positive outing for the family.
My son yelled, threw himself to the floor, then we asked him to change in to
pants and they just put him over the edge. After we got to the game. He had
fun, and I said wasn't it silly that you threw such a fit?! He didn't say
anything.

I know my son wants to do good and he tends to get the poor me depression
attitude.

We are going to have a baby in Feb and I want to have a better understanding and
handle with all this.

Thanks,
Rhonda
