I read a lot of the answers and they are all good suggestions. What
we did with both my kids though was started with mini-M&M's. They
are very tiny and easy to swallow. Then once they mastered those we
went to tic-tacs, then regular M&M's. The only thing we told them
was they could only have the candy if they swallowed at least 10
without chewing. Once we got them going they got the rest to eat.
