RE: [ADHD Parents Support Group] Re: When it rains it pours

Us too!!! And also when my dh travels. Things are different, routines are
messed up and while Dad is often gone a lot even when he's in town, things
are still different and I KNOW that I am must more stressed when he's gone
too and I know the kids pick up on that even if they don't realize it. I
have seen soooo often that MY mood dictates the mood in the house. My
husband's doesn't so much, but mine does. Everyone looks to me to restore
peace and when I'm stressed so is everyone else.

Michele

Boy, Heidi . . . you hit the nail on the head with triggers for bad days in
MY house!! Even if DH and I have a disagreement, it is never in front of the
kids, but they somehow have this radar (even the next day) that picks up the
tension. I am glad DH and I can generally work things out!!!

Erin,
just a stab, or two. in the dark here---but did you and hubby have
any aruements in the last 24 hours? did you get any stressful family
news? did the kids have the same thing for breakfast? (or lack of
breakfast?) did they watch a movie in the last 24 hours that would
be considered violent? were they both up extra late the night
before? Just somethings to ponder.
I wondered because whenever my husband and I argue, all four of my
kids will have hard days....even if they didn't have any idea we
were arguing....like an underlying feeling in the home..... many
other things could have effected them,
just some things to consider
