Hey Laurenmutz
My name is Karen and im 26 i too have addisons disease I have had it for 10

and it was all in my head it was only when i started fainting that they thought
they should find out what was going on!
Im fine now and have 2 lovely children and a loveing man who has always been
there for me but i too have a low sex drive which is horrable bechase he has a
high sex drive and i dont always want it!

I'm so thankful that I found this..

It's amazing to read everyone's stories, because many are similar to mine.

I'm 22 years old and was diagnosed with Addison's Disease at age 12.
Although my symptoms were classic Addisons (darkening around the
knuckles, vomiting, salt cravings, weight loss), my doctors insisted
it was all in my head and that I had an Eating Disorder. It was only
when I could no longer walk that I was sent to the hospital and
diagnosed with Addison's.

To be honest- I never thought it was a big deal at the time. Sure, I
take my med's and I'm fine..but I realize it affected me in a lot of
ways and really stirred up anxiety in me--and I've been on Zoloft for
about 6 years now.

I'm living well with it now-- take my florinef and hydrocortisone 2x a
day..

I have a question though...I am very interested in this whole DHEA
thing. I've always had a pretty low sex drive and, after reading about
DHEA and that its the adrenals that produce it, I'm wondering if this
could be why my drive is low? Do any of you know anything about this?

~Lauren
