Hi Doglover and welcome,
Most people (proabably 80%)do fine with just cortef (hydrocortisone).
Maybe about 1% need dex. You don't want prednisone if cortef works
good and you don't want dex if prednisone works good enough. I'm not
an expert on dex, but that dose seems high. Did you put on weight
after being put on that dose? How long have you been on that dose?
I especially have to make sure I don't miss my biggest dose or I feel
terrible.
