I had an Addison's crisis and ended up hospitalized and diagnosed a few
months back. I'm now on 25 mg. per day of cortisone acetate and 0.1 mg.
per day of fludrocortisone. My doctor also recommended I take 1200
mg. of calcium carbonate(I'm taking 800 and have increased my dairy
intake) and a multivitamin daily. And also told me to get a flu shot.
Is this all pretty much standard?

I have been reading with interest about alternative treatments some of
you are trying. People I know are telling me I should be trying
alternative means of stregthening specifically my adrenal gland and
immune system. I've never been much of a believer in conventional
medicine and it seems strange to be following solely that path so far.
Any advice on alternatives anyone else has found helpful would be most
welcome.

Lastly, when I'm not feeling well its not clear to me whether I'm
experiencing Addison's symptoms, side effects of the medication, or
another sickness separate from the Addison's. I recently had head and
body aches along with tiredness for almost 2 weeks but all those
symptoms are gone. Flu? Reaction to the flu shot? Maybe it doesn't
matter what caused it? Any thoughts from you veterans?
