Re: Pituitary Group on MSN   Message List

Hi All,

Sending you thoughts of high levels of energy today!

How interesting to have gotten Addison's from a fall from a
horse. I wonder how that happened?

I'm very happy to hear of someone else getting neck cramps.
I used to get such bad neck cramps that half my tongue
cramped and I could not talk and thought I might strangle!

Also do you all know about this group:

http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryTumor

Even though Addison's only affects 1:10,000 people thre are
few Addison's patients on the MSN board.

Do you all know of any other Addison's groups?

Also Maggie; weight gain, hair loss, round face and the
Buddha belly are all signs of an over dose of cortisol. But
then if your having crisis' then your not getting an
overdose.

I have secondary adrenal insuffiency caused by a tumor in
my pituitary. Any other prolactinoma patients on this list?

I'm bringing my cortisol intake down by 1/2 a pill a day
over a period of weeks from 30mg (10, 10, 10 to 10, 5, 5).
I have not figured out if I'm feeling the same other than
my appetite has calmed down.

Do you all carry cortisol hypodermics with you in case of
crisis?

So many questions,

Beverly
