Hi all just thought i'd join a few addisons disease groups as it is
a great way to communicate and share our problems with this
disease.i am 37 years old (getting older)male live in the uk at a
town called Newmarket.I fell of a racehorse one morning and fell on
my head ,i just got back up and got back on my horse.A few days
later i started getting bad cramp round my neck,shoulders and
legs .I just thought it was from falling off so didnt do anything
about it.A few weeks later my cramp was getting worse and i fell off
again (lol),this time i didnt get back up and ended up in hospital
(Addenbrookes Cambridge). I nearly died as they said my kidneys had
packed up and i was nearly in a coma.Thats when they found id
damaged my brain and that had affected my addrenal glands.What i was
going though is what we now call a addisonal crisis.With the
medication i take i live a normal life but gave up riding rachorses
for living. If anyone wants to chat about addisons disease just send
