I have had several debilitating symptoms for some time (years) now.
I am a 28 year-old female. Over the past month, after periods of
stress (including surgery), the symptoms have grown worse:
*Severe Fatigue. Forced to stop exercising regularly, can barely
walk a mile.
*Mental Fog. Including forgetfulness - seems to be aggravated by
fatigue.
*Muscle Weakness. All over, but most extreme in arms and legs.
*Paleness (particularly after exercise), a slight yellowish hue to
the skin.
*Weight Loss. No appetite.
*Diarrhea Alternating with Constipation.
*Low Blood Pressure and Heart Rate. Light-headed upon standing.
Generally hi-80's to 90/60. HR between 50-60 bmp at rest (measured
as low as 48 bpm).
*Continuos infections. During the past month: A serious eye
infection, severe sinus drainage, a particularly bad bout of
diarrhea (stomach flu?) which lasted for a week.
*Low body temperature (consistently below 97.5)
*Cold hands and feet - almost painful at times.
*Water seems to go right through me - always running to the bathroom.
My TSH test and electrolyte blood serum numbers are within
the `normal' range - excluding my bun/creatinine, which was high.
I differ from the 'classic' addison symptoms in that I have no hypo-
pigmentation, and my menses are heavy - not low - or particularly
irregular.
