I do not recognise this disease as an affliction - more a part of m   Message List

Do you see this disease as an affliction? Do you wish for the
impossible? I'm sorry the fact is that if your doctor has diagnosed
this thing for you, then you've got addison's disease. I've had it
for over two years (and I haven't seen an endocrinologist yet!) But I
do not recognise it as an affliction more like a fact of life that
can be dealt with and managed by the correct treatment. I suspect
that those that call it an affliction are either self - diagnosed or
are not getting the correct meds rest assured, IT COULD BE WORSE.
There is a self-help group on the web, at http://surreyweb.net/adshg.
there you can download a handy owners manual for individuals with the
disease.
