Hi My name is Karen from Hercules ca. I hope this group can help me I

may want to check out. I had surgery for an ovarian cyst a year ago,
but during the laproscopy the dr nicked my small intestine and did
not know it sent me home and i was back the next day with severe pain
and infection all in my stomach, which resulted in the loss of 2
inches of my intestine and 3 and a half weeks in the hospital. Since
then I have the bowel obstructions from janurary to now. I have had 2
surgeries for this alone one in Mar 2004, and the other July, I have
had a total of 14 obstructions, 5 hospital stays for it 4 trips to
the ER, and too much vomiting, cramping that my body can
stand!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of keep having these episodes I get them
every 2-3 weeks of every month. the last 4 I have treated at home
with bowel rest and pain pills. The dr's say that I will have this
for life now, and I am trying to find a pill that will keep them from
coming so freqently I just returned to work on a pt basis modified
duty. I was there a week and now have been off for 2 days cause of
the latest episode. I am so stressed wondering how long I must suffer
before they can find something that can keep them from coming so
often, I can't live my life the way it is going. I am 36. have a 11
yeard old son, and I am so tired!!!! If anyone can offer some help it
would be appreciated. Thanks.
