Denver Acupuncturist Launches National Educational Campaign About
Cosmetic Acupuncture - a New Option to Plastic Surgery and
Injections

DENVER, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Martha Lucas, Ph.D., L.Ac., a
practitioner
of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who specializes in Cosmetic
Acupuncture for
the face and abdomen, has launched an educational campaign about the
new
cosmetic acupuncture techniques now available to consumers
throughout the
nation. According to Dr. Lucas, Cosmetic Acupuncture is a holistic
and
healthy alternative to plastic surgery, Botox injections, chemical
peels, and
other procedures.
"Some of the aforementioned procedures can be dangerous and have
serious
side effects and none of them actually improve your health. This
makes
Cosmetic Acupuncture the perfect alternative to looking and feeling
younger
because your health improves," Dr. Lucas explains. "Fine wrinkles
can
disappear and deeper ones may 'level' out. Your basic
facial 'personality'
remains -- except that you're happier and more vibrant looking. You
retain
the character in your face since the structure of your face isn't
changed with
Cosmetic Acupuncture."
Acupuncturists may tell you that they do "facial acupuncture"
but Lucas
advises consumers to check out the acupuncturist's specific training
in
cosmetic or facial acupuncture as there are several protocols or
systems
available. The procedure that Dr. Lucas uses, called Mei Zen
(translated as
"beautiful person") Cosmetic Acupuncture System(TM), is unique to
the field of
Cosmetic Acupuncture. She and a colleague developed the system.
Together,
they teach their system and protocols for the face and abdomen to
other
acupuncturists in the United States, Canada, and they are planning
classes in
Europe. Their business, Cosmetic Acupuncture Seminars, has recently
conducted
seminars in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Dallas,
Chicago,
and Tampa, as well as in Vancouver, B.C.
A Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of
Medicine,
Lucas received her Ph.D. in Research Psychology from the University
of
Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky, and her degree in TCM from the
Colorado
School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver. Besides her
direct training
in TCM school, she has advanced training in QiGong and pulse-taking
diagnostics. She can be reached at 303-333-6886 or by email at
