Revealing the Mysteries of 5,000 Years of Chinese Acupuncture
Meridians
New meridian knowledge can improve Chinese acupuncture as three
acupuncture meridians are shown to differ from their 5,000 year
history - with major implications for increasing longevity and
treating modern allergies, AIDS, breast cancer, prostate cancer,
diabetes & obesity
(PRWEB) Seattle, Washington, March 3, 2004 -- In a groundbreaking
article to be published in Qi: The Journal of Traditional Eastern
Health and Fitness (Spring, Mid-March, 2004), Guan-Cheng Sun, PhD,
Executive Director of the Institute of Qigong & Internal Alternative
Medicine (IQ&IAM), a scientist and molecular geneticist, reveals how
ancient Chinese health practitioners first identified the mysterious
acupuncture meridians. For 5,000 years, only a single clue has
surfaced, suggesting these pathways that feed the internal organs
with nourishing life energy or "qi" can be directly seen
with "internal vision." Until now, no methodology has explained how
to develop this prized ability.
Dr. Sun describes how this intrinsic human ability of direct sensory
perception can be awakened through the practice of Qigong, or "life
energy activation."
Dr. Sun further describes how, absent this direct perception,
traditional acupuncture schools have misidentified three main
acupuncture meridians for millennium. With the benefit of internal
vision, he demonstrates that the triple burner meridian is actually
the reproductive meridian, the pericardium meridian is actually the
lymphatic meridian and the spleen meridian is actually the pancreas
meridian.
This more accurate understanding holds great promise for increasing
longevity and for treating modern allergies, AIDS, breast cancer,
prostate cancer, diabetes and obesity. For example, ancient
traditions of Qigong practices suggest that the aging process itself
may be directly related to the vitality of the reproductive system.
Modern science shows the female hormone estrogen levels tend to
decrease in women and increase in men with aging. Studies indicate
that this trend can be reversed by Qigong exercise.
Growing up in a family with an ancient lineage of intact qigong
knowledge, Dr. Sun has studied Qigong since age nine. He further
developed this dynamic "developing human" qigong to give people
unique energetic tools for self-healing & greater awareness to
become better functioning people. As a scientist and Qigong expert,
Dr. Sun believes these ancient practices and western scientific
understandings have much to say to each other, and hold valuable
health keys for humanity.
IQ&IAM, a 501 C (3) non-profit organization based in Seattle,
Washington, provides Qigong education and creates a community to
support individuals in developing their personal awareness and
fulfilling their inherent potential, thereby enriching their lives.
