Tai Chi NYC Summer Celebration For 2008 Beijing Olympics   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #3328 of 3472 |
T'ai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of exercise, which balances one's
Yin and Yang Qi. Qi, is distinguished as vital energy or energy from
the universe. T'ai Chi is characterized by soft, slow flowing
movements that emphasize precision rather than brutal strength. T'ai
Chi is both mindful and meditative which gives one innumerable
benefits.

In celebration for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Dr. Jiliang Liu will be
hosting T'ai Chi seminars in New York City at Central Park's
beautiful Turtle Pond, near the Delacorte Theater, and various other
hotspots in the tri-borough area.

We are inviting all martial arts enthusiasts and T'ai Chi
practitioners to come and practice with us. We will meet every Sunday
from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM from 5/11/08 - 8/24/08. Whether you are a
beginner or an advance practitioner, we welcome you to come either to
perfect what you already know or learn T'ai Chi for the first time.
Please dress in comfortable clothing as T'ai Chi requires physical
movements. This event is purely for the benefit of the general public
and will be free of charge.

We are planning to have a group performance on 8/10/08 to celebrating
the beginning of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Anyone who is interested should contact us via e-mail at

Please help us organize this event by e-mailing and notifying that
you intend to attend these seminars.

We are also looking for sponsors and volunteers to help us spread
this event to all communities that are interested to participate.
