Re: Question from high school student with achondroplasia

You know what I think, I think you should do what you want to do
sweetie. Stuff what everyone else says. If you know your ability
will take you to where u want to go, then go for it.
I remember when I was in High School deciding on what I wanted to
study after I graduated, everyone would say to me "get an office job
so you dont have to move around and it'll be easy for you" THAT was
the one job I didn't want to do. I said to myself I wanna be what I
want to be and stuff what anyone else has to say. If I know I can do
it I can. I wanted to be a vet, to study spanish and to travel. See
how it goes and if you like it then go for it. :) I wish you all the
best in your future and whatever you chose to do may it bring you
all the success in the world.

would love to major in the Special Ed field but a lot of the
articles that I have read on it and the people tell me all the same
thing, but it's very physically challenging. I have noticed in the
LPA Today that some careers that a lot of LPs conduct, there are a
couple of Special Ed. teachers, and I am wondering what they do
exactly, so maybe I can look into that. I have a lot of Special Ed.
experience throughout my whole school career when it comes to all my
adaptations given to me. The school tells me that I am a great
advocate for myself, and they agree that I would be a great advocate
for a lot of other little people.
