I am an achon and have a two story house. I have not encountered any
problems with the stairs, except when I have a lot of things in my hands and
I am trying to go up...sometimes I can get a little top heavy. Just tell
your son to keep his loads light and that he may have to make several trips.
When I was a kid, my legs were not long enough to just step down the stairs
one by one without taking one step at a time with both feet...so I
improvised. I slid down them on my butt...I could beat anyone down them.
hehehe!

Subject: [dwarfism_moderated] Stairs or not?
Hello.
My husband and I are getting ready to either build or buy another house. I
have a 18 month old son with achon. We are wondering if we should stick
with a one story house or if it would matter. Does anyone have trouble with
stairs? I know that everyone is different, but any info would be helpful in
this decision.
Thanks,
Micheala (mother of Nicholas)
