Hi, I just want to tell you donīt ever lose hope. Just keep fighting in this
unequal and unfair world. Remember that is always difficult to find a job.
So donīt blame everything on your looks. Keep looking and preparing your
self to be better and better everyday and one day someone is going to give
you an opportunity.
Bye and good luck
Katherine

Asunto: [achondroplastic_dwarfism] Job hunting is frustraiting
Ever since I turned 18, I've been looking for a job. But, to no
pervail. I've only had 2 actual jobs since then. One treated me like
total crap (pardon my mouth), the other was so nice to me by porviding
me with a cart to fold clothes that was at my level. After the holiday
saeson was over, I never heard from them again.I'm doubting the
equalty and fairness of this world, because I don't think that the
equal oppurtiny applies to every handicaped person. When I go ask for
an applacation I get this look from people, and a sense of stalling
from them in giving me an applacation. I also get the famous
excuse "oh we're out of applacations". If I'm lucky enough to get an
interview, I get this "oh my god" look from the employers themselves.
I feel like the phrase " don't judge a book by it's cover" doesn't
exists among the employers. I tell these employers, that I'm a hard
worker, I'm reliable, and I'll help out the elderly when they need
help. This job hunt is driving me to tears and losing hope on ever
finding a job again.
