i just joined this group and quite shocked at all the non-accutane
posts! anyways, i guess I'll just give this a shot.

i stared on accutane 2 weeks ago, and got even more acne than right
before i started. i read somewhere that this is how it is supposed
to be when you start on accutane. On my first week i got lots of
little pimples accross my forehead (which i assumed was a reaction
to the dryness of my skin, something usually get whenever winter
kicks in; these little bumps are gone now since i've been
moisturizing my face diligently), but this last week i tend to be
getting the big really painful cysts-like pimples.

Question 1: how long does this happen? Will i keep getting more over
the next weeks?? When can i expect to actually start seeing my face
start to clear?

I am trying to be patient.

So far, the symptoms I have are really dry lips and skin. Ive never
had a nosebleed so far. But my back kinda hurts a little bit, and
Ive had about 3 minor headaches since I started. I've noticed a
certain sensitivity to light. I cant stand too much light even at
home, it just seems too bright (when normally it wouldnt be). It is
not annoying though, i just felt more comfortable with lesser light.

Question 2: I will see my doctor in a couple weeks. Are these
symptoms enough to get an earlier check-up.

Question 3: Did anyone experience hair loss or thinning?? I didn't
see it on the paper with the drug but I've been reading more and
more of it online and it has been scaring me. Is this a common side
effect??
