Dear Pat,
I'm a C-6-7 Quad who uses the ADA-Lap. I can get it under the cushion myself
after I'm
in my wheelchair. It can easily hold 20 pounds as long as it is balanced toward
the center
because the basket is just held on with velcro. Finally concerning your question
about
keeping the base in place, the answer is no. If you order it from us I will give
you a
discount on the shipping and/or beat any competitors price by 10%.
