The purpose of this list is to be a support realm for parents (and educators) who are implementing an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach in educating their children on the Autistic Spectrum. We will discuss many forms of "educational" intervention, that target ALL the deficits related to Autism.Discussions will target , but not be limited to :
*Effective technologies and interventions in the field of teaching children on the Autistic Spectrum.
How to be an educated consumer of the array of interventions available.
We are firm believers that parents should have a good understanding of the science as well as in the benefits and ALL the intervention practices available to their child.
There will also be discussions on advocacy ,in securing services for your child.
Knowledge is power. Empower yourself.We will empower each other.
We want to encourage each other as parents to take on a more proactive approach in their child's intervention /educational plan.
We'd advocate for you to know just as much,if not MORE than your providers. This will allow you to be an effective participant in your child's goals and the training of new staff.
