Hello Dave and welcome!

No it's not fun at all. I could list many reasons why it's no fun
but why bother? I can give you many reasons to refute each of the bad
but I think that one is sufficient - Life is worth it. Something from a
movie who's title has since been forgotten said something like this:
God shows us what is good. But how are we to know what is good? With
that he has to have it known to us what is bad, hence evil or the
Devil. God doesn't do evil to us - he provides what is good. With that
he permits the Devil to do the bad to us. The good news about this is
God has a purpose and he doesn't let bad things happen to us (1) that we
can't handle - So it has been said.

(1) With that, it strengthens me to hear that or at least gives me hope.
