Happy Holidays everyone! Hope that everyone is surviving the "Holiday Rush".
I decided to take my time this holiday season and really enjoy this time of
year. Each year I am so busy Christmas shopping, sending out Christmas cards
and getting my house in order for the holidays that I seem to miss the
meaning as to why I am doing all of this stuff in the first place!!
So I've decided to do some things that make this season more enjoyable.
There are many ways to "Feel the Spirit" of the holiday season. Some of the
things that I have found to help me relax and enjoy are:
Drive around your neighborhood and look at your neighbors Christmas lights.
Make a cup of hot cocoa and curl up on the couch to watch your favorite
holiday movie!
Turn all the lights off in your house and keep your Christmas tree lights
on....its really pretty to look at and very relaxing!
Wish a complete stranger a "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanukah".
Visit an elderly friend or neighbor who has a hard time getting out and bring
them some homemade goodies!
On Christmas morning, get your family involved in a treasure hunt by hiding
their gifts thru the house and giving them clues to find their presents! One
of my personal favorites!!
Anyway...be creative and enjoy!
Think of some things that make you feel good inside and just do it! Have a
wonderful holiday season and a very happy new year! Mary Thumm
