The World's Most Unusual Therapist

Not long ago I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who healed people but never saw them.

He worked in a mental hospital for criminals. Patients there were sedated and often even shackled. Staff called in sick a lot because they hated their job, the patients, and the environment.

But this therapist turned all that around. He did it solely by working on himself, doing an updated ancient Hawaiian healing method called ho'oponopono.

What if it were true that I created everything including you? How would I change my experience? I was fascinated but thought it was an urban myth. After all, how could a therapist cure anyone by working on himself and not even seeing the actual patients? It didn't make any sense.

He's now elderly, lives in California and Hawaii, and teaches people how to do this updated old healing method in private seminars. It's true that he never saw a client. What he would do was look at the patient's file and then look within himself, trying to clear what was in him that created the patient and his condition.

The therapist said everything in your life is created from within you. When you change you, the outer world changes.

I've heard this before, of course. I learned it from Abraham-Hicks and Energy Mirroring.  But this unusual therapist was taking the idea of total responsibility into unknown territory. He was claiming that he could heal people --- even mentally ill criminals --- by healing himself.

He goes on to say that in a few months of doing his inner work at that hospital, patients began to improve. Many that needed sedated no longer needed sedated. Many that were in chains could be freed. And many that had been in the mental hospital for seven years, were actually being released. Even the staff started to get better, beginning to love their job and joyfully showing up to work every day. In fact, so many patients got better, that the hospital closed.

Incredible. Simply incredible.

I wanted to know more. I kept probing to find out how this therapist actually heals himself to heal others. What was he doing inside himself, anyway?

"I just keep cleaning," is all he could say.

For now, check out this unusual therapist, named Ihaleakala Hew Len, and the updated ho'oponopono process at http://www.hooponopono.org/

If nothing else, be sure to read the mind-expanding article at http://www.hooponopono.org/Articles/self_i-dentity.html

The Four Emotions That Can Lead to Life Change
Excerpted from article by Jim Rohn

In his chapter in "101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life," Jim talks about four important emotions, one of which is "resolve." He says the best definition for "resolve" he had ever heard came from a schoolgirl in CA. She said, "I think resolve means promising yourself you will never give up." Jim concurred. That is the best definition of resolve: promise yourself you’ll never give up.

He says, "Think about it! How long should a baby try to learn how to walk? How long would you give the average baby before you say, 'That’s it, you’ve had your chance'? You say that’s crazy? Of course it is. Any mother would say, 'My baby is going to keep trying until she learns how to walk!' No wonder everyone walks.

There is a vital lesson in this. Ask yourself, "How long am I going to work to make my dreams come true?" I suggest you answer, "As long as it takes."

That is the true definition of resolve.

To read about the other three emotions that can lead to life change and learn more inspiring, motivational and instructional tips like this one, check out  "101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life."

Want to learn more about being in the flow of Wealth?

I have good news to share.

For awhile now I've had in my mind that I would attract folks who could easily pay for my services. What the universe sent instead was folks with huge potential for income but with some lack in that area. So, I started to realize that I perhaps should put into myself to work to find a way to help them in this area. Who knows whether this was for me or for them. But, I love seeing my animals and the people around me be the best that they can be and live the way that makes them the most happy.

A few months ago, I came across Susan Kincaid. After sitting on this information for quite awhile I finally attended a call with her. You can imagine how surprised I was that Susan sounded in wealth the way Mary Lynch sounds in health. And, the group on the call wasthe most supportive, positive energy I could ever imagine. As it turns out, Susan has 3 calls this week. The first two require nothing of you other than to call-in. The third is asking for you to register and in doing so, you will likely be providing your email information to Gail.

If you or anyone else you know would like to hear about this here is the call in information. I'm pleased to speak with anyone on my experience with this so far.

These calls are all free and I can guarantee you that no one will be trying to sell you anything on these calls except perhaps a concept that could be good for the whole world.

It's Not About Time By Nan S. Russell (http://www.winningatworking.com/)

With mounting to-do lists, big projects with short delivery dates, consuming workloads, growing obligations and festering unfinished tasks, it's no wonder in this what-have-you-done-for-me-today world we often feel time deprived. Work-life flows to home-life, balance becomes imbalance, and goals and dreams get relegated to a closet shelf.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. In a recent "Winning at Working" reader survey, the most commonly articulated work problem was related to time. Overwhelmed. Overworked. Overstressed. Too much to do and too little time to do it.

But here's the reality. No matter how much we do, we will never get everything done. There isn't enough time for all that needs doing, all we want to do or we'd like to do or we should do. There never will be, even with the most sophisticated productivity, organizational and time-management approaches. Sure, they're helpful, but thinking the chaos and stress in life is caused by not having enough time is an error.

You see, the problem is not a time problem. We all have the same amount. It's a choice problem. The choices you make determine whether you're running your life, or your life is running you. And you do have choices. Sure there may be consequences to saying no, establishing boundaries or reordering priorities. But there are also consequences if you don't.

All tasks are not equal. All commitments are not equal. All responsibilities are not equal. All clients are not equal. All people of personal importance to your life are not equal. Yet many of us operate as if they were. You can do fifty things today and get little, if any, result for having done them. Or you can do one or two that bring a big return, be it emotional, financial, physical or psychological. People who are winning at working know the difference and operate accordingly.

They see time as life's currency and how it's used as a choice. Choices shape your results and your life. You get the same twenty-four hours each day as your co-worker down the hall. But use differs. Practice the piano eight hours a day and you'll be better than people who don't. Practice and hone your workplace talents and the same applies. Or spend time getting ready to work, shooting the breeze, surfing the web, fiddling with email and you'll complete the day having traded your time for minimal results.

How you spend your time puts value on what you're spending it on. For years, I never had "time" to exercise consistently until a health issue caused me to re-prioritize my choices. Funny how I managed to find the hours when I had to. Choosing to eliminate an hour of television created 365 "found" hours a year. That's nine weeks.

People who are winning at working know this secret: there is always time for what matters to them. So, they allocate their time carefully, understanding their life as a reflection of their choices. They make time for the people they love, the passions they have and work that uses their uniqueness. They focus on the results, goals, and life-dreams they desire, rather than accepting what comes their way. They do, while others talk of doing. They plan their day, while others let their day plan them. And they motivate themselves, while others wait for someone or something to motivate them. For people who are winning at working, it's not about the time they have; it's about the choices they make in how to use it. (c) 2006 Nan S. Russell. All Rights Reserved.
