Hi Anatasia & others,

I love to work-out. I finished my week with a session at the gym last
night (yeah I missed the beginning of the sox game OMG) They wound up
losing & Roger Rocket wasn't pitching so I don't feel so bad.

Anywho ... it was a short session less than an hour but I felt good
about the weights & reps I did. I'm a guy so I'm working on the major
muscle groups guys tend to go for. I was hoping to be sore today,
though. Kinda like a sign that I worked as hard as I could have.

My ankles & heels are painful though. My 1st week of 5 consecutive
days running. Ouch. I soaked them in cold water last night that felt
good. I'm hoping this will pass as other aches associated with running
have passed.

Question about running and foot placement: We're supposed to land on
our heel right? I see some people and they look like they are running
on their toes.

Anecdote: This is our busy season at work, this was our 1st killer
week, we had some technical difficulties that set us back & yesterday
was stressful - everyone was ready for the weekend. In the morning I
was concentrating & distracted by personal stuff, I didn't have my
best face on. After my lunchtime run someone noticed that I was perky
tapping my fingers to the music cheerful, etc. & asked what got into
me - realizing what may have happened, I answered with one word:
"endorphines" (spelling?) Anyway, I think it was endorphines.

While running I was thinking that there's something about it that is
so good, like I would want to do it even if all I had left was my
bloody stumps.

One last topic for what appears to be a digest of my own. Has anyone
had any experience with the gym machine that works your butt. You
position yourself face down, bent at the waist resting your hips on a
high platform & your knees on a lower platform with a cushion leaning
against the back of your thigh. Then you push up - backwards with your
leg - one leg at a time. As I'm aging I feel the need to pump up the
ol' glutes. I've been using it for over a year & recently increased my
weight to 60. Has anyone used this machine & achieved something
concrete, meaning real?
