RE: [WildernessMedicinePA] Park City Conference

Pearce,

Your life sounds great! You are doing some exciting things.  I enjoyed reading your email. I won’t be in Park City this year (am actually going skiing in Keystone with my daughter who is living in Denver right now).  But I do love the snow in Utah.  I don’t know of any other PAs who will be going to the Park City conference at this time….hopefully there will be a few. We usually try to make an announcement at the beginning of the meetings that if there are any PAs in the group who would like to get together, then we would meet at such and such a place.

Will you be in Snowmass this summer?

Sara Squyres

Subject: [WildernessMedicinePA] Park City Conference

Hello Everyone,
I am new to the group but am very excited to see such an
organization in existence!
In March, I will be attending the Park City Conference and hope
to meet some of you there. Is there any specific organized time or
place where PAs typically gather for any informal discussion, meal,
ski, lecture, etc.? I will be taking the AWLS course while in Utah,
but hope to have time for other things as well.
A little bit about myself- I am a PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery
(prev. Orthopaedics) at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. Currently, I am
working on completing the 48- 4000footer list (I am on #24 this
weekend) and will(Lord willing) be summiting Mt Rainier with some
friends this summer. On the side of these pursuits, a group of
PAs/NPs at my facility are gathering next week for the purpose of
forming a charity hiking organization for our hospital called the
Healthy Heart Hiker Foundation. We hope to have 1 or 2 charity hikes/
year that with the addition of local corporate sponsorship will be
able to contribute to the new Cardiovascular "Center" at Dartmouth.
If any of you have any ideas to contribute in this project, I would
be very appreciative of your input. Hope to meet some of you in
Utah. Have a great week!
blessings,
pearce
