that is wonderful what you are doing. I have such a strong desire to be there, but I just can't make it happen with work here. I have taken up a huge collection on my street of clothes and shoes that I plan to package in some big boxes and ship to the Astrodome. Are they still needed there? Are you still short on blankets for the cots? I have some to send if they are needed.
Also, I have forwarded on the info about the potable water that Fred posted. My parents and others have donated and continued to forward it on.
And....do you know anything about the little boy and his dog "Snowball??" The boy was bused to the Astrodome and they tied "Snowball" to a railing on the highway in N.O. It was heartbreaking. I know, initially, people were trying to find the boy (who probably didn't know that they were looking) to try to somehow reunite him with his dog "Snowball." Does anybody know the outcome??
