Great idea Fred! I have been at Ellington Field since last week
triaging pts. from La. The triage went very smoothly, and pts. were
very grateful. Going to the dome today and back to Ellington
tomorrow. I am very glad other states are now taking in evacuees.
Last night a few went to Idaho. Some are reluctant to go as they
are scared of leaving the area they have always known, though it
would be a wonderful fresh start for them. Most have NOTHING
except the often soiled clothes on their backs. This is not a short
term problem…the 250,000 newcomers to Houston need jobs, schools,
money, everything.
