The Welcome to Oz family support group community is for people who have someone in their life who has borderline personality disorder (or traits of BPD). This can cause much anxiety, depression, confusion, isolation, etc. We know what you're going through and are here to help!
This group is mainly for non-BP partners: married, single, gay or straight. You can also join lists for partners in specific kinds of situations such as staying or divorcing. We also offer more specialized lists for adult children of BPD parents; parents with BPD offspring; grandparents, siblings, people coparenting with a BP ex, Christians, GLBT, men only, women only, and professionals. See www.BPDCentral.com.
Before joining this group, you must read the guidelines and agree to them before posting. The guidelines also contain technical instructions. YOU MUST POST ANONYMOUSLY; get a web-based email address if you need to.
My (Randi Kregerís) newest book is The Essential Family Guide to Borderline Personality Disorder: New Tips and Tools to Stop Walking on Eggshells. I think of it as Stop Walking on Eggshells 2.0: it contains everything I have learned since coauthoring SWOE in 1998. It contains five steps to reclaim yourself and skillfully handle your relationship.
Other materials to help you include:
* Love and Loathing: Protecting Your Mental Health and Legal Rights When Your Partner has BPD.
* Splitting: Protecting Yourself When Divorcing a BP
* Splitting CD: A companion to the above book, a 2-CD discussion with the author, William A. Eddy.
* You're My World: A Non's Guide to Custody Disputes (CD) (also known as "the Custody Tapes")
You can purchase these materials at www.BPDCentral.com.
Welcome. We're glad you're here!
