you have a great atitude! i know how thrilled i was to see my stomach look concave instead of convex. i had a definable waist and a neck. oh yeah! i also would like to look sexier again but my biggest motivator for getting back in shape is i like to be in control of my situation. no matter what the motivation is, if it gets you active and makes you reach your goa, use it. best of luck to you. i have a feeling you are gonna succeed.

Well, in all honesty.... what motivates me is that I want to look sexy again. I want to wear the pretty clothes again that I see in the mall. I try to go to the mall once a week and just walk through.... I don't go into the stores.... might be tempted to spend money that I don't have. I started hiking again... that motivates me, because it lets me know how fat and out of shape I am... but I go faithfully every weekend (Sat and Sunday, 5 to 7 miles) and I look forward to it.I'm doing ok eating wise... This week was the first week that scale moved for me in quite a while, but you should feel my thigh and calf muscles...LOL, something is wrong with that last sentence. You probably don't want to feel my thigh muscles...LMAO!Anyways.... I lost 4 lbs this past week... and that is really motivating me for now....maybe tooooo much, because it was 3pm today when I realized that I'd had no food all day long... just wasnt hungry. My clothes are hanging off me... it's the wierdest thing... scale doesnt move but my britches are haning like those little hip hop boys.... LOL.... I'm hip hop! Some of the stories posted here also motivate me. You may need to look inward for you motivation.... when you achieve something, well, that's what gives you the strength and the will to keep going; at least that how it works for me. I lost those four pounds, so I'm no longer in the same place, I've moved forward a little in my battle. That makes me feel good. Those little changes that only the owner of the body will notice... seeing and feeling those changes motivates me... Hope this all makes sense.... I'm very tired right now.But you know what Maureen... when your mind is in the right place... you will be able to lose weight with no problem. That's how it happened for me. Something clicked in my brain... don't know what it was.... probably a combination of several things.... but my mind set is certainly different.Have a good night, morning or day.... depends on when you read this.

Thanks for the welcome :) I have lost and regained
weight several times. But I am just starting again
this time. I know what works, (we all do) eating less
and exercising, but need help with motivation.
How are you doing? Have you lost alot? Where do you
get your motivation?
Maureen
