Relapse Prevention" at my Beginners meeting / Homegroup on Monday.
How does a person who is powerless over alcohol prevent their next relapse?

The Daily Reflection today speaks about moving "Toward Peace and
Serenity". The reading suggests that by asking God to remove our
character defects (Step 7, it's July) and by thinking about our
humility, this ultimate goal can be achieved. I agree these efforts
will definitely help us reach peace and serenity, but I also believe
there is a lot more that needs to be done to live that lifestyle.
Each day I try to keep a conscious contact with people from AA, with
my Higher Power, and doing the next right thing (now that I
understand what that is). I also don't allow life's terms to baffle
me - slowly I am intuitively learning how to handle these
situations. What tools do YOU use to stay peaceful and enjoy
serenity??
Lots of newcomers and people coming back lately in my F2F meetings.
It truly helps me keep an attitude of gratitude for my continued
personal recovery! Great topics at my meetings lately, too:
+ "First Things First" at my "Living Sober" discussion meeting
yesterday,
+ "Seventh Step / Freedom" at my "Daily Reflections" meeting Tuesday,
+ "Relapse Prevention" at my Beginners meeting / Homegroup on Monday.
Anyway, time to review more resumes and help people find employment!
Have a terrific Thursday :)
