The West Virginia Breastfeeding Network (WVBFN) was formed in 2005 as an on-line communications resource for individuals and organizations in West Virginia who support breastfeeding. Our goals are to:
· Initiate and participate in advocacy efforts on behalf of breastfeeding mothers, babies and their families;
· Promote to the public the importance of human milk and breastfeeding for infant health;
· Reinforce the importance of health care providers in promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding.
