I know what you mean. I started training Abby at the age of three. We started with a potty chair, she hated it! It was way to small and she was scared of it. So... I bought a seat that snapped onto the toilet and bought an elmo stepping stool. This made her feel like a big girl and she would start by sitting on the toilet for a treat, we used M&M's. She would get one for sitting on the toilet then when she would pee she would get five. I didn't put her in the pull-up's because it confused her, so chucked those and used underwear. Of course she had accidents but it took about 2 months of work to get her completely trained. I tried not to be mad when she would have an accident because I have heard of children holding it and having problems with their kidneys and constipation. It is difficult sometimes when you have cleaned up several accidents already. We got a carpet cleaner to have on hand, highly suggest that if you have carpet. This is what worked for us. I hope it helps. Good luck!

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone had some advice on toilet training.
How did you know when your kids were ready. I bought Earl a potty chair
and he's terrified of it, any advice would be greatly appreciated, as
always! Talk to you all soon.
Love Jenny
