Allow me to thank you both for your kind words and food for thought,
its much appreciated
Jenny you mention some thing that made me ask myself a few
questions...I'm not to sure whether Nathan is aware that he
has 'Weavers' even though we have told him in the most simple of
terms also I really don't think he is aware that he does differ from
the other children! maybe that's a small failing on our part and
maybe its time for Paul and I to tell Nathan a bit more so we can
prepare him for things such as these? Nathan asked us why the kids
called him 'BIG HEAD' our response was to answer him with 'Because
you have bigger brains' I'm really glad you have mentions this Jenny
I truly am, because it gives me something to build on, before I felt
rather lost to what to do next...thank you
April you have a wonderful way of illustrating empathy and you can be
certain that I will pass on those 'games' onto Nathans teachers,
thank you. Our schools don't have councillors but we do have
additional needs teachers working along side the regular teaching
staff. Nathan was looked after/watched over by a support work
assigned solely to him during break times and lunch hour! however it
was decided that he no longer 'needed' such support and that service
was with drawn and since than it seems that all this trouble started,
Apart of me thinks, ok, he has to learn how to deal with the world
and all that it throws his way and he will need the skills necessary
to be able to do that! but then I think and know in my heart that he
simply can not cope with all this, he may be turning 7 next month but
it feels like I have a 3yr old do you know what I mean? and no one
would expect a child of 3/4yrs to cope with a situation he has to
face recently.
Once again girls many thanks I feel I have some strategise to work
and focus on, Thank you both
